Best way to learn to sail?
Main Post:
I'm wondering what is the best and most efficient way for learning to sail that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? A lot of the ASA classes near me seem overpriced to take 101-104. The closest school near me charges $700 just for ASA 101! I live in WA near south sound!
Do I just bite the bullet and take these classes? I'd like to make sure if I do so I'm making the most of it!
Also, I know some clubs offer a discount on the classes if you join, but it seems like the primary purpose of joining the clubs is to reserve use of their boats. My dad has a boat that I would be using to sail once I know how so I'm not sure that joining a club is worth the money!
Top Comment: Get a cardboard sign that says ‘want to learn to sail’ and hang out near a marina. Preferably with beer and/or snacks

Main Post:
Just checked the Offensive Security site and seems the Learn One, 365 days lab subscription plus 2 exam vouchers is for 2000$ instead of 2,500$.
Is it worth it in your opinion compared to the regular 90 days one for 1,500$?

Learn to Buy Packages at Low Prices
Main Post:
Hi everyone. I live in Indonesia, I want to buy the Last Shelter game package at a lower price. My friend offered to buy through a middleman but I wanted to learn how to buy the Last Shelter package at a lower price. I've tried Huawei Appgallery but it's still expensive, can anyone teach me how to buy Last Shelter package at a cheaper price? I see intermediaries can sell at a lower price but I don't know how. Thank you for your help.

These low cost 3rd party package dealers almost all work the same way, they add packages to your account with stolen credit cards, and when and if they get a chargeback because a stolen credit card was used they remove the equivalent number of diamonds from your account that the package cost, even if that means you go negative diamonds. Or they instantly ban your account. Some are a little more clever and buy Google Play or Apple Store cards with stolen credit cards and then send you those gift cards, but that can end up getting your entire Google play or Apple account flagged for fraud if you constantly use fraudulent purchased gift cards...
One legit way to get discounted packages is to buy Amazon coins and use those to buy the packages on the Amazon version of the game (with an android phone or emulator). You can buy 50,000 Amazon coins aka $500 buying power for $400, that is a 20% savings instantly. You can also sometimes find Google Play gift card discounts, but I have never seen one that offers the 20% you can get with the Amazon Coins purchase. Note with the games new fraud measures you generally have to play the game for a few days using the Amazon version exclusively or have used it regularly before it will allow your package to be purchased with Amazon coins, otherwise they flag the purchase as fraud and it doesn't work.
At the end of the day, the game is stupid expensive once you head down the buying path, if you can't afford the packages, just accept you can't afford them and don't try to keep up with the whales that have way too much money to spend on a mobile game.
Learn One worth with the current sale?
Main Post:
So, offensive security is doing a 20% off the Learn One subscription, bringing it down to 2000$.
Now, the OSCP course is 1499$ with 90 days of labs + 1 exam.
The Learn One is 500$ more but with 1 year of labs + 2 exam + level 100 + PEN-210 (+ 1 exam attempt)
and KLR (+ 1 KLCP exam attempt).
I wanted to do the OSCP in the past but given the price and the 90 days (that I fear might not be enought) I was always doubtful.
Honestly with this sale Learn One is really tempting.
Would you suggest it with the current price vs the OSCP alone?
edit: corrected the number of days to 90, thanks!

The most recommended sales books of all time from r/Sales
Main Post:
I got curious as to what were the most recommended sales books here on r/sales. I thought it would be a quick automated data job and make a nice quick blog post. Famous last words. Weeks later and manually going through the entire history of r/sales and then also deciding to include data from Quora.com to get a bigger sample I have put together the 47 most recommended sales books of all time. A little about my methodology. First I found every mention of a sales book and created a master list. Then I found how many times that book was mentioned and how many upvotes that mention got. Final scores were counted up and the books were ranked. There were hundreds of other books that got a single mention but they needed more than 1 to get on the list. So apologies if your favourite book is not here and please start recommending it to others. The one weak area of the list I think is categorising each book. Because I have not read them all I had to guess from the recommendation what area of sales the book fits in. Please feel free to comment below to correct me. Total reading time for all these books is 170 hours. Or 7 days if you do not sleep and connect a coffee drip to your arm :) Lastly I teamed up with a few sales partners and we are giving away the full 47 books. I would love to be there when that crate arrives.
Here is the full list:
